Attention iPhone owners, before you go out and sign that contract with T-mobile for the G1, the latest software update for the iPhone will include Street View.  While it will not give you a physical QWERTY keyboard or compass mode, it will get you a bit closer to that Google Maps desktop experience.  According to Mac Rumors, they have dug up the following evidence in the latest software build for developers along with an option to turn off the keyboard’s auto-correction feature and support for Japanese emoji emotions.  Personally being able to turn off auto-correct on the fly might just be the best news yet because I don’t know how much longer I can keep hitting the little x button above the words I type.
