i900 users in Italy, France, Malaysia, the Philippines as well as Singapore can now download the latest software update for their Samsung Omnia.  Back in August, Samsung released its first series of ROM updates, but these were limited to users in only Singapore.  Now that additional countries can updated their Omnia it is expected that even more countries will follow.  If you are a Samsung Omnia user not in one of the 5 countries listed above, make sure to bookmark the Samsumg Omnia Update Page and check back often.

As always remember that using ROM updates not designated for your country are strongly discouraged.  Make sure to backup your device before running the update to be safe and enjoy the 108MB download.

I have been using the Samsung Omnia i900. The phone seem to function well so far without any updates. My advice is, update only when is necessary. If the phone is working well and you are happy about, leave the phone alone.
