T-mobile has announced a new twist on the digital picture frame craze, titled the Cameo. The Cameo is a digital picture frame that will have a SIM card and phone number with a $10 monthly service fee. The device itself will run you $100, but the concept is a bit clever despite a few obvious drawbacks. For starters the Cameo’s ideal environment involves you sending pictures to the device via MMS, not exactly photo quality images. Had T-mobile simply included a WiFi connection on the Cameo and skipped the monthly service charge we might actually be able to send a decent quality photo to the device wirelessly.
