The Softbank 824SH, manufactured by Sharp, is now the world’s slimmest waterproof mobile phone. The device was unveiled in Japan today at the CEATEC Japan 2008 show in Tokyo. It is unclear whether this device will make it to North America or anywhere outside of Asia, but several details about the device were revealed.

The Softbank 824SH features a 3.2 megapixel camera with 3G connectivity. Powering the multimedia is a 2.8 inch widescreen QVGA resolution LCD screen and the entire device is only 127 grams. Despite the waterproof build, the 824SH is only 5 x 10.5 x 1.5 cm in size.

This is the second site that I have found about this waterproof cell phone. I’ve already seen and used a waterproof iPod http://www.swimman.com but nobody seems to have any information about this device.
