Any hope for a BlackBerry Storm release date in Canada via Rogers Wireless can now be officially dismissed.  Earlier today BGR was contacted directly by Elizabeth Hamilton, spokesperson for Rogers Wireless who confirmed that the Storm will not be heading to Rogers.

Saw your post and you’re right, the customer service representative made a mistake. As you know, I won’t comment in advance on what our holiday lineup has in store, but I can confirm it does not include the BlackBerry Storm.

This is really shaping up to be a day of horrible news for mobile enthusaists.  First, the Sprint HTC Touch Pro is delayed, then the BlackBerry Bold fails to appear on At&t’s holiday rebate form and now the BlackBerry Storm is not coming to Rogers Wireless for Christmas.
