Sprint’s Samsung SPH-i325 Ace gets Windows Mobile 6.1 Update

It is time to add the Samsung Ace (Samsung SPH-i325) to the list of devices being updated to Windows Mobile 6.1.  Earlier today, Sprint announced a firmware update for the smartphone that will upgrade the device to Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard Edition, complete with improved web browsing and threaded text messaging.  Also included in the update is enhanced GPS support via Sprint Navigation, Office Mobile 6.1 and the ability to install unsigned applications.

sprintace Sprints Samsung SPH i325 Ace gets Windows Mobile 6.1 UpdateYou can download the update from Samsung’s Website and as always back up your data before updating your phone.  You will need 50% battery, your USB sync cable and ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center installed on your PC to complete the process which shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes, enjoy.
