FlyCast’s Internet Radio Application now available for BlackBerry Curve, Storm and Bold

by Nick Marshall

After recently becoming a finalist at the BlackBerry Developer Conference, FlyCast’s mobile network is now ready to support the BlackBerry Curve, BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Storm smartphones.  The FlyCast network is the first specifically designed application to deliver radio, video and podcasts over mobile broadband and WiFi networks to mobile devices.  The software is positioned as a free alternative to satellite radio and was first launched in January 2008.

This version of FlyCast for BlackBerry works on BlackBerry Bold phones with OS version 4.6, on BlackBerry Curve phones with OS 4.5(Sprint, Verizon and other CDMA networks) and OS 4.3 (AT&T, T-Mobile and other 3G networks) and BlackBerry Storm phones with OS 4.7. If you need to upgrade your phone’s OS, please do so before installing and using the FlyCast application.

Have there been upgrades to flycasts with regard to blackberry curves? Is the sevice free or is there a monthly charge? Are there any other early adopter sites like this that have have more elements to them?

Just curious. This is all new to me, and I’m trying to catch up.
