Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 coming to the US November 28th for $800

by Nick Marshall

Several European countries have already launched the highly-anticipated Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, but on November 28th the US will join the party.  The day after Thanksgiving this year will be the day XPERIA hopefuls will be able to purchase the X1 complete with US 3G support (At&t), but only through sonystyle.com for $799.99.  Since the device was first announced in February, the buzz has been stirring as eager Windows Mobile users looked for a device that could potentially top the HTC Touch Pro.  My friends the time is almost upon us and in a few short weeks the wait is over.

The Xperia X1 has a 3-inch, 800×480 touch screen, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and a slide-out keyboard. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1 and works on T-Mobile’s EDGE network and AT&T’s and foreign 3G networks.  With a slick Panel interface and an ultra-high resolution, the lack of a US-bound Touch HD might just be an afterthought.
