The recent FCC approval of the Nokia N85 with North American 3G bands has finally paid off.  This US variant of the super-sleek N85 is now available from Amazon for $549.99 and $502 on Nokia’s website.  Whether you choose to buy direct or use Amazon for the tax and shipping discounts, both websites currently list the device as being available. The Nokia N85 NAM features tri-band 3G frequency support (850/1900/2100Mhz), which includes support for the 850Mhz and 1900Mhz bands used by AT&T for their 3G network.  If you are a T-mobile USA customer, you are out of luck as usual since your web browsing speeds will be limited to EDGE so you might want to take a look at the original N85 and save a little coin.
