Vertu must be living on a different planet because the company seems to think the best way to combat a recession is to launch a $30k handset. Introducing the Vertu Boucheron 150, a handset created by Vertu for Boucheron for this Parisian jewelery, made of solid gold. The Boucheron 150 is both hand polished and hand built with over 2200 hours of labor that results in a solid gold handset with a sapphire crystal keypad fit for a king. Vertu was nice enough to include 3G connectivity and a wooden case from Noce Pedullo walnut tree by the Swiss house Reuge. No word on a release date, but unless you have $30k lying around this probably is not going to matter much. [Luxury Launches]
