Alltel Wireless offers same price for 1 or 2 Year Contracts

Starting June 5 Alltel Wireless will boldly take the wireless industry where no carrier has gone before, sorta.  According to the company’s press release, it will bring back one-year service agreements for all of Alltel’s new and renewing customers but with an added bonus.  Rather than charging two different prices for their devices depending on contract length, Alltel will use a single price.

Alltel will be the only carrier to offer the same handset pricing as you would get with a two-year contract, but with one year service agreements.  Now the big catch is that this one-year contract option is only available to customers in the 91 cellular market areas that Verizon is required to unload.
