The best way to describe the styling of the LG Tritan for Alltel Wireless is to imagine a mix of the T-mobile G1 with the Verizon LG Env (original). The single most impressive feature of the Tritan is that unlike the bothersome and sometimes annoying space bar placement on the Env, the Tritan has a traditional placement. On the downside, the space bar is on the same row as the ZXCV keys so it still might take some getting use to when the typing learning curve is concerned.
Enough with our criticisms, let’s get right into the thick of it with the specs. The Tritan AX840 has an 3.0-inch external touchscreen display running at QVGA resolution or better, full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, EVDO Rev A support, GPS via Alltel Navigation, Full Internet Browser, Email, Voice Recognition, 3.0-megapixel camera with video recording, microSD card slot, 4.5 x 2.2 x 0.6 inches and weighs 5.0 ounces.
The bottom line is that the LG Tritan has a solid and quite robust feature list that should do well in suiting the needs of the messaging tycoons not willing to commit to Windows Mobile or BlackBerry OS. We won’t go so far as to say the Titan would be our pick over the Sidekick LX 2009, but we definitely see the Titan holding its own in a head to head match-up.

Hi all, I got a chance to see a demo LG Tritan and it’s a really cool phone. I heard from a U.S. Cellular rep. that it should be in the store sometime this week. I have the Samsung Delve and I can’t wait to return it so I can get the LG Tritan. I was told it has Yahoo Messaging and IM Messaging.
someone create a site for the LG Tritan, http://www.LG-Tritan.com check it out when you have time.
