Today is day two of the 2009 Canadian Telecom Summit and the big news came from Marc Tremblay, Managing Director of Palm Canada. Now that the Palm Pre is well into its first week on Sprint’s Now Network here in the U.S., the big question is when will Canadians get a chance to slide their fingers through WebOS? Unofficially we’ve heard numerous rumors that the Palm Pre would reach Canada by the end of June, but as of today the official word stands “later this year”.
We are sure that fellow gadget lovers in Canada agree that “later this year” really doesn’t cut it and we all deserve a release date. Unfortunately Palm is playing that information very close to the chest at the moment, but Marc Tremblay did mention that “it’s really only the first of many devices to come.” What exactly Mr. Tremblay meant by that statement is going to be a hot topic this week, but we’d settle for a Palm Pre Canadian release date.
