MetroPCS just released a hand-on picture of their Windows Mobile-powered Samsung Code on their twitter account (http://twitter.com/metropcs) . The Samsung Code will obviously be a huge leap for the MVNO carrier as they enter the world of smartphones while maintaining their completely unlimited plans and affordable pricing. It has to make you wonder how much longer until we start seeing native smartphones on Boost Mobile. If the Samsung Code looks a bit familiar it is probably because this same device has been available on US Cellular since mid-August.
Here’s a recap of the specs for the Samsung Code:

- 2.0 MP Camera/camcorder with Flash

FYI, MetroPCS is NOT a MVNO carrier. They build and operate their own towers. Also, the Samsung Code has the AWS bands (1700/2100) along with PCS bands (800/1900). All the new MetroPCS markets in the Northeast and other parts of the county only use the AWS bands.
Thanks, updated post.
Does it play MP3s?
