The rumored replacement for the Touch HD, the HTC Leo, has now been confirmed thanks to some hands-on photos by PDA.pl this morning.  Previously we had been told that the HTC Leo would be running Android, but based on the images we’ve received it is clear that the Leo is a Windows Mobile handset.  On the other hand, PDA.pl did confirm that the device features a 1GHz CPU and a 4.3-inch 800 x 400 pixel WVGA display.  Talk about a high resolution screen, the Leo is just about the same resolution as my late 90′s PC monitor (800 x 600).  So what chipset is behind the powerful HTC Leo?  The Qualcomm MSM 8520 CPU is making this all possible and it is accompanied by a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and dual LED flash, WiFi, aGPS, light sensor, accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and a 3.5mm audio port.  We’d like to give a round of applause to HTC for including the 3.5mm audio port because frankly we aren’t sure how much longer we could live with the proprietary charging/audio cables.  You can see a whole lot more pictures of the HTC Leo side by side with other HTC devices over on PDA.pl so hit the link below and enjoy (keep in mind that the site has been translated by Google so go easy on the English and grammar).
