Rumor: Windows Mobile 6.5 HTC Imagio and Android-powered HTC Predator coming to Verizon Wireless

Two big rumors seem to be circulating regarding Verizon Wireless this morning, compliment of BGR And WMExperts.  First, the Windows Mobile 6.5 HTC Imagio, codename HTC Whitestone, might be launching on Verizon Wireless as soon as October 6 (image above).  Why October 6 you ask, well apparently this is the big day for all carriers to unveil their new WM 6.5 devices.  According to BGR, HTC Imagio features a 3.6 inch WVGA touchscreen display, GPS, 5MP camera with autofocus, 528MHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM and global connectivity (CDMA/EV-DO and GSM).

Next on the Android front, Verizon is expected to release their HTC Predator sometimes in October.  This will be the carrier’s first Android-powered device, but unfortunately almost nothing is known about it at this point.  A best guess directs us to the Bluetooth SIG website which recently approved a device called the HTC PR17 which is an Android device featuring Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP.  It is a bit of a stretch to think the Predator is the PR17 but at the moment it is all we have to work with, but as usual we’ll keep you updated as details emerge.
