The Samsung Galaxy Lite was expected to launch this October, but according to Dial A Phone the device will be pushed back until 2010 in order to give the original Galaxy more time to establish itself. Although both the Galaxy and Galaxy Lite are targeted at different audiences we can understand that Samsung would like to enter the Android realm with a bit of caution and since we were only interested in the Galaxy we don’t mind the delay, if it infact is delayed.
In other Galaxy Lite news, the full phone specifications have also been revealed: 3-inch WQVGA TFT touchscreen, Android 1.5 OS, TouchWiz UI, HSDPA, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, Google Apps and Android Market, Chrome Lite browser, 3.2MP camera, 200MB internal memory with microSD expansion slot (up to 32GB), accelerometer and 3.5mm audio jack. There is no mention of TouchWiz and the leaked photos show a default Android OS so we’re not sure if Samsung will include the UI in the final build.

Shouldn’t be too bad if the Galaxy Lite is delayed until 2010. Maybe an updated version of Android will be out by then and it’ll run smoother.
