It looks like Verizon has heard the cries from consumers complaining about a poor line-up of devices because this morning is packed with announcements. Next up on the launching block is the Verizon Motorola Barrage, a rugged flip phone that goes on sale October 1 for $129.99 on a 2-year contract after $50 MIR. Like Motorola’s Nextel phones, the Barrage is certified for military specifications for high and low temperatures, shock, vibration, dust and more. When it comes to features the Barrage offers push-to-talk, a 2-megapixel camera, VZ Navigator, stereo speakers, dedicated music controls, a speakerphone, message and personal organizer, EVDO Rev A, V Cast Video, V Cast Music and Rhapsody.
