The perfect mobile phone for Die-hard navigation, formally known as the Garmin Nuvifone G60, has just been unboxed. Just four days ago the device became official via an AT&T press release and today EngadgetMobile was able to get the first-ever hands on. So what did they have to say about the Nuvifone G60 in the time they’ve had to use the device?
Upon unwrapping the phone, we were struck by just how classy the whole thing looks. It’s plenty thin for being a GPS-turned-phone, light enough to not weigh you down and sturdy enough to somewhat justify the $299 (on contract)
The G60 is shaping up to be quite the dream device for anyone that wants their Garmin and cell phone to merge into a gelatinous pile of navigational wizardry, but will it sell at $299? I mean it has been over 20 months since we first heard about the device and in that time Apple has basically redefined the touchscreen market and now with the TomTom partnership do we need the G60? We will find out on Sunday when the G60 goes on sale (October 4).
