Sometimes it pays to pre-order your phone and apparently Best Buy is doing a solid for anyone who took their offer to pre-order the Sprint HTC Hero.  Rather than waiting for the actual release date, Best Buy has begun calling those who pre-ordered the device and let them know they can pick up their shiny new toy on October 9, two days before the official October 11 release date.  This news comes our way via a post over on PPCGeeks where member thacounty had this to say,

“I just got a call from Best Buy. Customers who pre-ordered the phone and are reward zone members can get the phone on the 9th. I am going to be out of town so I actually am not going to get the benefits but I wanted to share with the community the great news!”

Congratulations to all of you who also pre-ordered your Sprint HTC Hero at Best Buy, the rest of us will be very jealous.
