Top of the morning boys and girls it’s that time again for your Morning Mobile Minute. Today we start off with Nokia making some changes with their stock options and Samsung Electronics posting Consolidated Revenue of 36 trillion Korean won in Q3 2009.
HTC finally decided to make all of their Windows Mobile 6.5 devices official which includes the HTC HD2, Touch2, Touch Diamond2 and Touch Pro2. The manufacturer confirmed that any of these devices which have already launched will be eligible for WM 6.5 updates and future devices will come with the OS pre-installed.
The big news from the Verizon Wireless and Google partnership continued to make headlines in the media. The entire Webcast where we found out that Android has exactly 10,000 applications available has been released for replay. Please don’t forget that Verizon has confirmed Android will be coming to featured phones, smartphones and netbooks in the near future.
Motorola confirmed their commitment to work with Google’s Android for the time being and has put their relationship with Microsoft on hold. Motorola will not be releasing any new devices running Windows Mobile 6.5 in the near future, but did not rule out Windows Mobile 7.
Yesterday we told you that both Bell and Telus would be carrying the iPhone 3G and 3Gs, but today BGR has confirmed that both carriers will launch the devices next month. Telus has even started an email sign up page so that you can be one of the first to know when the iPhone 3G/3GS is available for Canadian consumption.
And last this morning was news coming from a At&t Press Release that stated the carrier had taken the steps necessary so that Apple can enable VoIP applications on the iPhone to run on At&t’s wireless network. Yes this means VoIP using your 3G signal so the door for Google Voice has officially been opened (thank you FCC).
