TV Phone enthusiasts will be delighted to know that InfoSonics has announced that its Verykool i280 handset has been approved by carriers in Central and South America. InfoSonics claims that the i280 Verykool TV Phone is the first ever Verykool device to come equipped with an analog TV receiver. The i280 features a bar-type touch screen form factor, quad-band receiver and includes email, web browsing, speakerphone, a music player and an external memory slot for micro SD to allow users to transport personal files and music and videos easily
The i280 also comes with a 3.0 megapixel camera for video and still photos. A noteworthy feature is that the phone can capture TV images and videos for users to keep or send to other MMS capable phones via text or through email. The i280 phone will be released sometime in Q4 2009, but there has been no word on pricing as of now.
