CTIA Fall 2009 might have been a disappointment for At&t this morning, but Sprint and Samsung have come to play hard ball. Introducing the Samsung Moment, the second Android-based phone to be released by Sprint in the United States. The Moment will be available starting November 1 for $179.99 on a 2-year contract after $100 MIR.
This device features a 3.2 AMOLED touchscreen and full QWERTY slide-out which are powered by a 800 MHz processor. All of the usual suspects are also present including WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Sprint EVDO Rev A connectivity. Now that Sprint and Verizon have their first two Android devices lined up how is T-mobile going to differentiate itself as the Android-friendly carrier?
Update: It has come to our attention that we forgot to point out that the Samsung Moment is actually the InstinctQ. This could be a huge factor in terms plan compatibility (cough, SERO, cough) since it could be an exclusive device for Sprint.

my name is Judy, and I plan to exchange my Hero for the Moment as soon as Best Buy gets it in (I have already talked to them about doing that) precisely because the Moment does have the landscape slider. Don’t you just love having choices? I want to stay with Sprint and Android, so I couldn’t be happier that Sprint is committed to providing choices for everyone.
