At&t remains tight lipped about the upcoming iPhone tethering feature as the clock hits the 1-year mark. Nearly a year ago we first heard that MMS and tethering would be coming to the iPhone and while most of us are happily messaging away, the rest of us are sitting with laptops hoping to tether our phones. According to the Wall Street Journal, “At&t is still working to fine tune its network before allowing iPhone customers to tether”. In response to the media taking out their frustration on the lack of iPhone tethering At&t said, “Whenever we offer new features, we want to offer the best possible customer experience. For tethering, we need to do some additional fine tuning to our systems and networks so that we do deliver a great experience.” The bottom line is that there is still no time frame for the release of tethering on the At&t iPhone.
