The 24 hour sale going on at Verizon Wireless is offering the Samsung Omnia free on new 2-year activations or upgrades. Tomorrow, phone returns to $29.99 with new 2yr activation on Nationwide calling plan so it isn’t exactly a groundbreaking deal, but a savings nonetheless.  If you are not in the mood to wait for the Samsung Omnia II coming out later this month or early November then we won’t stop you from taking the plunge.  I mean how bad could things be when you have a full touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, built-in music player, VZAppZone, and VZNavigator, right?  Remember that these deals change daily and they are only offered online so please don’t go to your local Verizon retail store and expect the same price.
