Slow down your horses my friends, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 which we know is coming to Rogers and Bell customers in Canada might be making a short detour.  According to some screenshots taken from the inventory system it seems that Bell is going to make a quick release of the Bold 9000 in black while Rogers will offers the phone in white like At&t.  A release date and price is not listed in the inventory system.

Danger, the creator of the Hiptop devices i.e. Sidekick, has finally decided to start pointing fingers for the massive failure which has left T-mobile customers with no personal information on their devices.  Apparently when Microsoft acquired Danger they decided to outsource an upgrade of its Sidekick SAN to Hitachi and failed to make a backup before starting.  The upgrade failed and subsequently the data was lost, leaving Sidekick owners with the shaft.

BlackBerry Storm 2 accessories have started to show up at Best Buy.  After a weekend filled with Sprint HTC Hero sales it was nice to see that Verizon is still doing business at our favorite big box retailer.  The most interesting part about the accessories is that they reference the Storm 2 as the BlackBerry 9550 ODIN (Storm II).  It looks like we might have the official release name boys and girls, ODIN.

Also happening at Best Buy this weekend is a sale for 20% off iTunes gift cards.  A calculation translation tells us that a $50 iTunes gift card will have a $10 savings and be sold for $40 during the sale.  The deal is available either in-store or online with free shipping, but online sales are back ordered 1-2 weeks.

In iPhone news, Mapquest has released their official GPS navigation solution for just $0.99 cents for a 14 day trial.  If you would like to continue using the software you can use it for $3.99 per month, $9.99 for 3 months or $29.99 for a full year.  When purchased by the year, the Mapquest Navigation software ends up being the lowest cost solution available at just $2.50 per month.  If Mapquest is your desktop navigational solution of choice we recommend giving the iPhone app a shot or $0.99 cents of your hard earned coin.

And last this morning is news again from the BlackBerry ninja himself, Mr. Salomondrin.  In his latest BlackBerry adventures he has decided to show off the web browser of his newly acquired BlackBerry Atlas against the BlackBerry Bold.  The web browser on the Atlas wins by a landslide and he even goes so far as to test it against every BlackBerry he owns with similar results.  It looks like the Atlas is a bit more than a BlackBerry Tour 9630 with WiFi after all.
