Starting things off this morning we saw two press releases, the first from RIM which announced that they would be launching the BlackBerry Curve 8520 in Ireland via Telefonica O2.  Next we saw that Sprint Nextel is set to acquire Wireless Affiliate iPCS, Inc.  The deal will net Sprint 700,000 PCS Wireless Users and 270,000 Wholesale Customers to become Direct Connect customers.

Over on fonearena, Dotsisx has put together a nice comparison photo gallery between the 8-megapixel Nokia N86 and the 5-megapixel Nokia N82.  The end result is that the N86 is a worthy replacement and the true successor that Nokia had hoped for thanks to a wider lens, large aperture, bigger sensor and video light advantages.

A new Twitter client, J1CK.Tweet, has been released for Symbian S60 3rd and 5th edition phones.  The Java-based client is expected to be a strong competitor to the Gravity client thanks to native Twitpic support, multiple accounts and trending topics.  The software is still in beta, but since it is freeware the complaints should be minimal.

Rock Band for the iPhone is now official and available to download in the App Store for $13.99.  The game consists of 20 tracks including classics like Sabotage by the Beastie Boys and Chrub Rock by Smashing Pumpkins.  Users can select from the full band experience whether they want to play drums, bass, guitar or vocals.  There will also be downloadable content (5 songs available at launch) which can be purchased for $1.19 per track.

The Sony Ericsson Rachael, formally known as the Xperia X3, is set to release in January 2010 according to the latest rumors.  The device will feature the Snapdragon chipset, delivering a 1GHz processor, a 4.0-inch WVGA touchscreen, 8.1-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack and come in two colors: Sensuous Black and Luster White.

The Motorola CLIQ is now available for existing T-mobile customers.  Previously we were under the impression that today would only be a pre-sale, but early reports show that T-mobile is now shipping the device for orders placed today.  The public release is still on track for November 2, but if you’ve been waiting for the CLIQ and currently reside on T-mobile you can take advantage today.

Last this morning is more T-mobile news thanks to TmoNews.  The website is reporting that the T-mobile Snap will released on November 11th followed by the Samsung Behold II on November 18th.  These two devices combined with T-mobile’s Project Dark should lead to a very interesting holiday season for the number 4 U.S. carrier.
