Good things come in small packages and this is exactly the case for the Nokia N97 Mini. Announced back in September at Nokia World this little brother to the N97 packs most of the same features, but in a smaller pocket-friendly package. You keep the 5-megapixel Carl Zeiss camera with dual LED flash and lose the lens cover, but screen size (3.2 vs 3.5 inches), battery size and internal memory (32GB to 8GB) have been reduced. The trade offs are minimal and if you can’t hold off for Nokia’s new Maemo OS, you will not find a smaller more power S60 5th Edition handset from Nokia at the moment. The real question is whether the reduced weight and size are really worth the reduced memory, battery and screen size. It’s going to be hard to convince most when the prices are nearly the same (~$10).
