XDA Developers have been a godsend for the Windows Mobile community and recently they’ve been behind BlackStone Android, a porting effort focused on delivering effective builds of the Android OS to traditional Windows Mobile-based devices, namely HTC. Those devices include the Touch HD, Vogue, Touch Pro, Touch Diamond and more as their efforts continue. Many readers have contacted me recently asking how they can load Android on their HTC devices so I found it only fitting to put together a collection of links that will help you on your way to enjoying all things Google. First and foremost you must understand that BlackStone is a work in progress and updates are constantly being released as they fine-tune Android ports for specific devices. Second, you will need an empty memory card for your device in order to load Android for most devices so we recommend backing up your data and memory card prior to attempting any of the following steps. Also keep in mind that this project is built around Android 1.5 so the features you’ve seen in the leaked images of Android 2.0 will not be available as of now.
