Verizon CEO says we still want the iPhone

Just days before the huge Motorola Droid announcement taking place Oct 28 we have confirmed that Verizon is still interested in a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to the carrier’s lineup.  The news comes to us by way of the conference call this morning for Verizon’s third-quarter earnings.  Mr Seidenberg, Verizon’s chief executive said he would be delighted to sell the iPhone and more specifically, “We obviously would be interested at any point in the future that they would be interested in having us as a partner”.  He went on to say that “This is a decision that is exclusively in Apple’s court.”  My how the tides have changed in just a few years after Verizon rejected Apple’s initial offer to bring the iPhone to the carrier.
