HTC Hero coming to Telus in GSM flavor

HTC Hero coming to Telus in GSM flavor

The all-powerful Twitter has just blessed us with a Halloween treat.  According to the Telus Twitter page, the carrier has confirmed that a GSM/HSDPA Hero will be coming to the carrier.  It will feature the same 528MHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, WiFi b/g, and Bluetooth offerings as the CDMA version, but the big question is Android 1.5 or 2.0?  It is too early to know which version will ship with the Telus HTC Hero, but the confirmation is a win in our books.

If i’m going to be in Indonesia for a few months, maybe up to a year, is it better to buy a cell phone in Indonesia, or buy one before i get there?
