Grease up your iPhone with the Haynes mobile car mechanic App

Anyone who has worked on their car before has probably had the pleasure of reading through a Haynes manual at some point in time.  Rather than paying $20 to $30 per manual, Haynes has launched their first iPhone app called Haynes Car Tips.  The app includes all sorts of useful advice for your vehicle from the basics like switching out spark plugs to video experts walking you through more complex services.  The app even includes a My Garage element which lets you put in your MOT, insurance and tax details, so you’ll be able to see at a glance how many days until paperwork time rolls around.  I’m not sure how I feel about having my iPhone around me when my hands are covered in grease as I work on my ride, but for $2.99 this could be one of the most useful applications from a practical standpoint.
