Zain Sierra Leone, Emitac Mobile Solutions (EMS) and Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced the launch of the BlackBerry® solution for Zain postpaid and prepaid subscribers in Sierra Leone. The BlackBerry solution brings together smartphones, software and services to allow easy wireless access to email, phone, calendar, web, multimedia and other business and lifestyle applications. Zain customers in Sierra Leone will now be able to enjoy the freedom and productivity benefits of using BlackBerry® smartphones.

The launch of the BlackBerry solution in Sierra Leone will initially support corporate customers with BlackBerry® Enterprise Server. Zain and EMS have collaborated in bringing the BlackBerry solution to market and EMS has delivered project management, and installation services, and will provide ongoing support. EMS services have helped Zain Sierra Leone to provide a first class customer experience and expand its corporate product offering.

“Zain strives to deliver innovative technology solutions to its customers and with the BlackBerry solution, we are proud to be able to offer our customers the benefits of advanced mobile technology that enables users to be more productive whilst on the move,” said Managing Director of Zain S.L Ted Sauti-Phiri.
