In a perfect world the HTC Hero would have a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard to compliment the onscreen experience. If the latest HTC rumors are true this perfect world might be a whole lot closer to reality then we previously thought. Over at Tweakers.net, the crew has gone through the Android 2.1 ROM and found a bit of code which leads them to believe a HTC Hero with a physical keyboard will be released as the HTC Espresso.
Of course this information is not supported by the 2010 HTC Windows Mobile and Android device lineup so we are still very skeptical. However, if the device was set to launch at the end of 2010 it could be plausable since the 2010 roadmap does not cover Q4 2010 devices. For the moment treat this news as a rumor and we’ll continue digging in search of some confirmation.
