The US Windows Mobile market was changed forever with the introduction of the At&t Tilt and now with Tilt2, At&t hopes to redefine the landscape of Windows Mobile 6.5. With an increased screen and resolution, the Tilt2 delivers a beautiful interface and HTC’s TouchFLO 3D UI makes up for many of Windows Mobile 6.5′s shortcomings. At 528MHz like the At&t Fuze (Touch Pro), the device hardware remains for the most part unchanged, but returning to a tilting screen and larger more spacious keyboard has allowed the Tilt2 to win over our hearts once again. The HTC HD2 might be in the US pipeline in the near future, but at the moment the Tilt2 (Touch Pro2) is the current Windows Mobile 6.5 flagship in the US.
Here’s a quick recap on the features and specs of the At&t Tilt2 (Touch Pro2): quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, TriBand HSDPA/UMTS, 3.6-inch wVGA resolution touchscreen (480x 800 pixels), Qualcomm MSM 7210a 528MHz processor, 512MB ROM / 288MB RAM, 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus and video recording, microSD support, WiFi b/g, dual speakerphone setup (mic / speaker), Bluetooth 2.1 and a 1500 mAh battery.
We will be completing our formal review of the At&t Tilt2 later today, but in the meantime we’ve put together a complete unboxing photo gallery.
