Quick on the heels of the leaked BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.0.55 that hit the web yesterday is the official release. According to CrackBerry, the new Messenger software is now available on RIM’s website here and it includes quite a few improvements. Notable changes include picture previews, smaller status text and improved groups. You can also download the software directly from either the BlackBerry App World or directing your mobile browser to blackberry.com/messenger.
