China Mobile and RIM have teamed up again and this time the carrier is bringing BlackBerry IM and an Email Service plan to wireless subscribers. The new service plan allows China Mobile subscribers to stay connected with unlimited email and instant messaging for a monthly fee of HK$68#.
“The new HK$68 BlackBerry IM & Email Service Plan will cater to the broad base of individuals and enterprise customers who want the benefits and value of being connected on email and IM, with an inexpensive option,” said Mr. Willie Wong, Director & Vice President of China Mobile Hong Kong Company Limited.
New subscribers who sign up the BlackBerry IM & Email Service Plan with a designated monthly voice plan can enjoy a rebate of up to HK$2,400 towards the purchase of a BlackBerry smartphone. New customers who only subscribe to a BlackBerry service plan can enjoy a 12-month installment offer.
