The rumors that T-mobile USA and At&t will launch their own versions of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 can now be laid to rest.  The FCC has just approved a second Xperia X10 and this time it features 850MHz and 1900 MHz 3G bands, perfect for 3G web browsing on At&t’s network.  Although there is no carrier branding on this device and there wasn’t any branding on the T-mobile version approved last Friday, the 3G bands always tell the story.  What is really interesting about the news is that the 850 and 1900 MHz bands will also play nice with Rogers, Bell and Telus in Canada so we could be seeing a major North American release by Sony Ericsson.  As usual only time will tell, but for the time being things are looking on the up and up for T-mobile and At&t.

If you are looking to get a headstart on your Xperia X10 research before it lands in the US I recommend checking out the review over on FoneHome, a UK-based mobile website.
