Verizon Wireless is about to paint a picture for their vision of 4G wireless here in the US on January 20, 2010. The carrier will be holding a webcast that day where they will be reviewing specifications for wireless devices that will run on their Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in the upper 700MHz C-Block spectrum. The good news is that Verizon has confirmed their plan of rolling out 4G LTE wireless in 25 to 30 markets in 2010 and will cover virtually all of its current nationwide 3G footprint by 2013.
As usual I’ll be attending the webcast and I’ll be reporting back to the site with any breaking developments, but if you would also like to attend registration is going on now at www.verizonwebcasts.com/vzw/10027/registration.html. Just don’t forget: 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010.
