First off Merry Christmas, Happy Hanuka, Happy Kwanzaa, or whichever holiday you choose to celebrate. Now into this morning’s mobile news- All About Symbian has released a handy guide for Nokia Handsets using the free utility Energy Profiler to calculate just how much energy each component of your smartphone uses.  Granted, it’s for Nokia Handsets- the information is still pretty interesting especially when it comes to power consumption for phones with poor 3G signal (cough, iPhone, cough).

Next up China Unicom has decided to forgo conventional wisdom and decided that their 2 million subscribers would like to see more Windows Mobile devices than iPhones in 2010.  According to the GM of China Unicom, Zhang Zhijiang, the carrier will purchased twice as many Windows Mobile devices as iPhones next year and their strongest mobile OS is actually BREW.

Remember the proposed $350 Early Termination Fee (ETF) from Verizon Wireless?  Well the FCC has decided that Verizon needs some additional explaining to do before it let’s this raise hike slip into action.  The good news for all of us is that one Commissioner is already unhappy with the ETF, Commissioner Mignon Clyburn.  Let’s keep our fingers crossed for some FCC holiday spirit and get this ETF overturned.

A photo gallery of the Sony Ericsson C901 has just been released over on sogi.com.tw for those interested.  The C901 features a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, smile shutter, bestpic, smart contrast, face detection, photofix and geotagging.  Beyond these features the camera also has a xenon flash instead of the LED flash becoming popular as of late.  Video recording, video stabilizer, red-eye reduction, and video blogging features are also included.

Engadget has released a video demonstration of how to get a real Bluetooth keyboard to play nice with the iPhone for text entry.  As you probably expected, the iPhone must be jailbroken in order for this shin dig to work, but if you are a friend to blackra1n then go right ahead and have a crack at it.

FoneHome, the mothership of UK mobile, has released their 10 best mobile phones of the decade list.  The list includes the iPhone in 2007, BlackBerry 5810 in 2002, HTC Hero in 2009, Nokia N95 in 1997, Palm Treo 600 in 2003, Motorola RAZR V3 in 2004, Sony Ericsson T610 in 2003, Nokia 3310 in 2000, Ericsson T68 in 2001 and Nokia 6301i in 2002.  Go ahead and head on over to FoneHome to drop in some comments on which devices you think should have made the list.

Last up this morning is Verizon’s year end sale. So this is what they got going on today: Motorola Entice W766 $19.99, Samsung Trance $39.99, Nokia 7205 Intrigue FREE, HTC Touch Diamond $99.99, LG VX8360 $39.99, Samsung Omnia $29.99, Samsung Renown $29.99, Samsung Saga $49.99, Samsung Sway FREE, Nokia 6205 FREE, BlackBerry Curve 8330 $29.99.
