sprint airvana review

The second generation of femtocell products for Sprint’s Now Network is here, welcome the Sprint Airvana.  The Airvana follows the original Airave as the successor to the throne of usable cellular service while at home or in the office, depending on your billing address.

Sprint Airvana is the perfect companion and quite frankly, a must buy

Notable improvements over the original include support for EVDO data, a VOIP option and the boost from four to six simultaneous users.  If you suffer from less than extraordinary Sprint service at your home, the Sprint Airvana is the perfect companion and quite frankly, a must buy ($99.99 or free depending on how well you complain to customer care).

Much like the Airave, the Airvana requires a $4.99 add on for what Sprint calls an “enhanced coverage charge”.  After paying the additional $10 per month for a 4G add-on, a service which is not even available in Los Angeles, I was very reluctant to opt for Sprint’s Airvana.  However, after using the device over the past week I can honestly say that this second-generation Airave is a godsend and I could not imagine using Sprint service without it.  For the full breakdown on the Sprint Airvana check out the complete video review above.
