EA slashes iOS apps to 99 cents for the holidays

In the mood for a little holiday gaming, EA sure hopes that tops your holiday to-do list as the company announce 68 iOS games are now 99 cents.  The massive price reduction is undoubtedly a ploy to quickly rise to the top of iOS top paid game charts, a recent trend for large gaming studios.

The unfortunate twist is that smaller studios, the one and two man teams, really can’t compete when EA decide to slash prices.  In the world of iOS gaming, unless you are listed on the top 100 paid or free apps, you really don’t exist.  With that being said, these 68 titles still offer a great value and it’s hard to deny the polish of EA sports titles for iOS.

Some of the standout titles for iPhone include: MMA, Fifa 11, Madden NFL 11, Tiger Woods.  Meanwhile iPad owners have the most to gain, Madden NFL 11, normally $12.99, is a no-brainer for 99 cents.  As you enjoy the massive blow out savings on EA sports games, just try to keep the little guy in mind, you never know when that two-man development team will put out the next great iOS game.
