My name is Nick Marshall and I began Cellfanatic after years of obsession with tech gadgets, mainly cell phones.  I first realized that cell phones would become an integral part of both my personal life and work in late 2003 when I purchased the Treo 600.  The Treo opened a whole new world in my eyes and I felt as though the possibilities were endless.  Soon after I had my first experience with the BlackBerry 7100T on T-mobile’s network, but quickly left the SureType keyboard in favor of the Sidekick.  When it comes to cell phones the Sidekick was truly my first love and to this day I still miss the keyboard of the Sidekick and Sidekick 2, they were pure bliss.

Over the next 4 years I tried nearly every phone offered from major U.S. carriers and even went out of my way to purchase unlocked Nokia and Sony Ericsson devices despite the outrageous price tags.  Two devices that really stick out in my mind were the Nokia E90 which was nearly $1000 and the very rare dual-hinged Motorola MPx.  It seemed as though I was never satisfied with a device and I realized that all of the information I had learned from years of purchasing devices and spending my hard earned money could be a valuable asset to others.

And so in what seemed to be overnight I began Cellfanatic, a website with a simple goal of delivering honest news, reviews and tutorials to the mobile community.  I hit the ground running with Cellfanatic having to balance publishing content while also maintaining the site in both design and code.  My mission is to give 110% to the readers and in return I hope that the information I share is valuable in your pursuit of finding the perfect mobile device.  To the left you can see a picture of me taken while attending a wedding in West Virginia.  Entourage fans will notice that I am paying homage to Vincent Chase’s brother Johnny Drama in classic “Victory” style.  I hope to bring that type of enthusiasm to Cellfanatic everyday.
