If you have been following our sister site, Droidfanatic, you have seen the Galaxy Spica i5700 in our photo gallery, but today Samsung made the device official. In a formal press release this morning in Korea, the manufacturer announced that the device is now on sale in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States with availability in the Middle East and Asia coming shortly. As we’ve mentioned in the past the Galaxy Spica i5700 is an Android-powered smartphone with an AMOLED touchscreen display, 800MHz processor, 3.2-megapixel camera and DivX support. The press release did not include a price point but expect the phone to set you back about 350Euro or $524 USD.
