Bell Mobility Brings HTC Diamond to Canada for $149.95

This Fall, Canadians will be getting their hands on several high-end devices including the BlackBerry Thunder/Storm, BlackBerry Javelin and the HTC Touch Diamond.  Now that the BlackBerry Javelin has officially become the BlackBerry Curve 8900 and the Thunder has moved onto become the Storm we can finally get to the important pieces of information, the release dates.  According to MobileSyrup, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 will be releasing on Bell’s network sometime in November along with the release of the BlackBerry Thunder/Storm.  But before either the Curve 8900 or Storm hit Canada, Bell will be launching the HTC Touch Diamond on October 15th.

BlackBerry Thunder Becomes BlackBerry Storm on Vodafone UK

Multiple sources have confirmed to Pocket-lint that Vodafone UK’s upcoming BlackBerry touchscreen (BlackBerry Thunder/Storm/95XX) will now drop the Thunder name in favor of the ‘Storm’.  It looks like the thought of taking the world by Storm was just too tempting for Vodafone when the BlackBerry 95XX series hits the UK.

Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Storm Launch Details

With the big announcement already being felt across Verizon Wireless retailers, the plans have been layed out for Big Red’s attack at the world of touchscreens. Research in Motion, RIM, and Verizon Wireless are preparing to take the world by ‘Storm’ starting with Direct Mailers, Internal Emails, Business Customer Emails and finally on October 1st the Consumer Email. If you have signed up over at www.verizonwireless.com/storm to be notified of the BlackBerry Storm availability, expect to have an email on September 22nd if you are a business customer and October 1st for everyone else.

Verizon Wireless is Ready to Take the World by Storm: BlackBerry Storm Announced

The rumors proved true this morning as an internal email was sent to Verizon Wireless reps showcasing the BlackBerry Storm. Besides being the first touchscreen released by Research In Motion (RIM), the BlackBerry Storm is confirmed to feature quadband connectivity, the highest resolution screen by RIM, a 3.2 megapixel camera, full HTML web browsing and a “click” touchscreen. The device was also elaborated in Monday’s Minute with Mike where VZW internal personnel were able to see several photos of the Storm along with a video of the device in action.

Whether you are even remotely interested in the BlackBerry Thunder (Storm for those of you on VZW), this video is a must watch. Known as the “BREW Ninja”, the masked crusader in the video runs through a series of devices before reaching the BlackBerry Thunder/Storm at 2:55. If nothing else the video is amusing, but surprising enough he was able to confirm that significant force is required to get the touchscreen to respond which could make the device prone to damage screens.
