Carrier unlocked BlackBerry Curve 8520 and Storm come to India

Not looking to lock yourself into a contract and want access to the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and Storm for a reasonable price in India.  Well good because RIM has announced that the unlocked BlackBerry Storm and BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphones will be available through Redington’s retail distribution network across India for Rs 20,500 and Rs 14,990 respectively.  Frenny Bawa, Vice President, India, Research In Motion had this to say about the news, “These two competitively priced, network independent smartphones at Redington retail outlets across the country are supported by a wide range of pre-paid and post-paid options via our carrier partners, and make wonderful gifts during this festive season.”
