It looks like Motorola is running out of ideas for next generation cell phones after today’s announcement: Pink Silver Motorola RAZR 2. While we expect there to be a solid market for a Pink Motorola RAZR 2, the idea that another RAZR 2 will hold over the masses of smartphone enthusiasts out there is ill advised. We appreciate the Pink Silver Motorola RAZR 2 since I am sure our female companions will be very tempted to make that compulsive purchase in order to match their accessories, but at the end of the day it is still a Motorola RAZR 2.
You remember the Motorola RAZR 2 right? The device that replaced the V3 Motorola RAZR, but failed to impress or sell at the same volume. In any event, the Pink Silver Motorola RAZR is currently going to be an exclusive launch in Korea by SK Telecom so anyone hoping to see this at their local T-mobile or At&t store will be sadly mistaken. We can however expect an unlocked version to go on sale through the usual sales channels.

Maybe Tony Hawk’s 900 will spin T-mobile into launching their 3G data network sometime in the near future, but if not, the Tony Hawk Sidekick LX Limited Edition might be the proving ground for a good cover up. According to the latest Internet-rumors, T-mobile will be launching a series of Limited Edition Sidekick LXs like they have done with every other Sidekick since the Sidekick 2. The Tony Hawk Limited Edition is scheduled to make its debut on July 16th and we can only hope that T-mobile’s Data 1700MHz 3G band is up in full force by this time. While T-mobile has yet to confirm the existence of the Tony Hawk LE, Tony’s love for the Sidekick and the improvements in the LX over the Sidekick 3 are worth of his endorsement. We will keep you posted on additional details and hopefully some spy shots in the coming weeks.

The windows of opportunity for talking on your phone without the use of a bluetooth or wired headset is shortly coming to a close here in California. Many other states have already put into action their efforts to combat the overwhelming use of cellphones while driving, but if you are going to go the bluetooth route the limited edition Jawbone headset is the way to go. The original Aliph Jawbone headset was a success and the performance was enough to justify the hefty price tag, but these new limited edition (white, brown, black) Jawbone headsets add the perfect flare of style to even the pickiest anti-bluetooth candidate. If the laws are going to require the use of a bluetooth headset you might as well do it in style.
