Every week the FCC reviews shiny gadgets in hopes of approving devices for U.S. consumption. As impatient as we are in the tech field we find ourselves hovering over the FCC website doing query after query with the sole wish to uncover a top secret handset. In the past 5 days alone over 20 phones have gained FCC approval, an absurdly high number, and among these devices were 3 notable mentions. First the rugged and self-proclaimed indestructible Sonim XP2 showed up, set to fill the gap between the existing XP1 and Xp3. Next we saw an updated version of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and last was the Sony Ericsson Yari. The Yari is really the device of interest ever since it was announced at GSMA earlier this year. With a full 12.1-megapixel camera, the Yari (Idou / Satio) could be the first 12 megapixel camera phone to be released in the United States, quite a big accomplishment if you ask us.
