The only caveat I had with my first Android device, the T-mobile G1, was the speed of the camera application.  Not only did it take what felt like an eternity to capture a picture, but it was also extremely slow and choppy when panning around a scene.  When I received the Motorola Droid last week I was immediately curious to see how well the 5-megapixel camera would perform since I have had nothing but success with the HTC Hero’s 5-megapixel shots.  Unfortunately as I write this I can confirm that there is a bug with the autofocus on the Motorola Droid’s camera in certain situation, but it helps considerably to use the on screen capture button instead of the hardware button from my testing.  While we get to the bottom of this mysterious autofocus glitch we have put together a video showing you the imaging capabilities of the Droid versus the Nokia N97 and the HTC Touch Pro2.  We will follow up this video with a post showcasing some sample shots taken from the three devices so stay tuned.
