Verizon Wireless HTC Hero coming in November?

Earlier this morning we told you that Google and Verizon had finally come to an agreement that would result in several Android devices being launched by the carrier in the coming weeks.  What we didn’t know at that time was that Google’s Eric Schmidt would be photographed holding a Verizon Wireless branded HTC Hero.  For those Sprint users out there who were hoping that they would not need a Simply Unlimited Plan to use the Hero this could be huge news.  Previously we were all under the impression that the HTC Hero would follow the path of the Palm Pre and Samsung Instinct when it launched on Sprint, leaving Sprint SERO subscribers in the dust.  Now the possibility to use your existing Sprint Sero plan on the HTC Hero being released this Sunday has new life.

According to BGR he has confirmed with multiple sources that the Verizon Wireless HTC Hero is real and that it will release sometime in November.  He has also been told that the device is “awesome”.  We kinda figured that one out for ourselves after Stuff Magazine awarded the Hero the Gadget of the Year for 2009.
